As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will be the face of technology team across various stakeholders in the organization. The job includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You should be equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you would be in discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. While driving the project roadmaps for Delhivery’s platforms, you will interact with teams of exceptional engineers to build products that impact millions of users.
Own the success of key releases at Delhivery. Be the credible and trusted leader to deliver these releases to internal and external customers on plan and with high quality
Drive the planning and execution of releases from concept to completion. Lead a delivery team of Project Managers, Engineering, QE and other functional teams to deliver throughout all the release phases.
Create and execute on, with the team, the release master plan (schedule, dependencies, risks, etc.). Use your technical background and product knowledge to proactively identify risks, issues and drive their resolution.
Be the expert on release life cycle processes and champion process best practices, metrics and high quality standards with your delivery team
Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive stakeholders. Be the trusted speaker on the state of release in key checkpoint reviews
Coach other Program Managers to maintain consistently high standards of communication, productivity and teamwork across all Program Managers
Work with the engineering team to identify and remove cross product roadblocks early in planning phase itself
Make constant assessment of feature pipeline, work done and work quality to support decision making on release delivery schedule
7-10 years of program/ project management experience in internet startups/ digital products or e-commerce.
Undergraduate degree in engineering or related technical discipline; MBA preferred
Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level software development programs/projects within scope, time, budget and quality.
Previous experience in a PMO Managers role or central support Project Management function.
Prior experience in a startup/ fast-paced environment is preferred.
Experience managing agile processes such as Scrum and Kanban
Experience with service-oriented architectures and web services
Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize.
